Ooglies

Post by Michael Wallace »

I like to keep abreast of what is current in children's television (insert your own paedophile joke here), and I happened across Ooglies last night. Which appears to be a television show based entirely on the premise that if you stick googly eyes on things they become awesome. Fortunately, I subscribe wholeheartedly to this theory, although it's a bit morbid in parts.

(edit: I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting to come from this thread, I just felt the need to share this discovery)

Googly eyes are very good, as are those little toys you squeeze and it makes some sort of gel substance bulge out of their eye sockets to make big googly eyes. But it's slightly sticky to the touch so attracts dust and fluff. I saw a really lovely animation thing with a penguin a couple of years ago (it wasn't Pingu) if anyone can throw any light on that.

I think what I'd like best is an animation based on some raccoons and their goings-on.

Nice to see that good old stop-motion animation is still going strong. And anything that gives yet more employment to Voiceover Man can't be all bad.

I'm the same but with top hats instead of googly eyes.

Surely it would be prudent to put a question mark at the end of that?
