ITV's program "synopsis" (on the Sky/Freeview I mean) almost never has the city the match is actually taking place in.

When people say something is the greatest TV show "OF ALL TIME", basically they're insisting this is better than any TV show that uh, yknow, the Romans or Greeks made. They really want you to know that.

Alex Higgins? I'm not even sure he'd make my top 10 snooker players. Mike Tyson was good in his prime, but there are many better boxers and fighters. Also, neither of them would qualify as a sportsman in my book.
