Spoilers for Friday November 9th 2012 (Series 67 Prelim 69)

Post by Jordan F »

We come to the end of another week on Countdown, and while we had an incident where people will never view Ed from Rocko's Modern Life in the same way again, we end with Heather Styles having a second win under her belt regardless. Can she get her third today? It's the end of Janet Street-Porter, though frankly I've been pretty busy lately and haven't been paying the most attention to the guests, so no thoughts on how she did. This is also the end of Countdown at 3:10 PM before it moves to half an hour earlier starting on Monday.

Join Thomas for the recap later.

is MONSIEUR valid in the OED? That was my initial thought as an equaller in the MOURNERS round.

No it is capitalised.

Did the first numbers by what is presumably the other of Rachel's "couple of ways": (10+6)x25-((8-1)x3).

Well done to Heather again. Shame she missed the classic 9 though. Hope she got a good night's sleep ready for
Monday's show.

Well, that's what I did. :P

BANDORE in round 1, TOENAIL in round 8 and ASSENTED in round 11.

3rd Numbers Alt.: ((10 - 3) x 75) - ((100 / 50) / 2) = 524

Interestingly, you couldn't clearly see Keith's nameplate at any point during the game, but luckily his surname isn't one that hard to misspell. :P

SICKOES in round 4? I remember WACKOES was in a couple weeks ago.

Did the first numbers game a different way, but forgot to record what it was.
I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

"Here's the Countdown clock". To me it sounds as if Nick's been searching for it and has only just realised where it is. :-)
