The best unintentional pun I've had was when I was due to have my chimney lined last year, and I got an email to say that the fitter wouldn't be able to come on the day he was due "because he had the flue".

Once I hurt myself and I was waiting for the first aider, but it turned out he couldn't make it because he had AIDS.
