Spoilers For Bank Holiday Monday August 30th 2010

Post by James Robinson »

Well, I hope everyone's enjoying their bank holiday today. Obviously apart from you lot north of the border, who have to endure work today.

Still, Countdown is operating at full blast this week and we have a half-octochamp in the champions' chair by the name of Peter Godwin. Will he be an octochamp time of the 2nd Robinson Recap on Thursday :?: Who knows :?:

In DC this week, for once, it's not a newbie :!: (Not that there has been anything wrong with the majority of DC's newbies this series.) We have TV presenter Gloria Hunniford making her first appearance on the show since Series 44, back in 2001. :o (Interestingly, the recaps of her last shows in DC have just been put up in the Historical Recap section, if anyone cares to have a peep. ;) )

Ryan will be around later for the recap. ;) :) :D

TERBIUM as an equaller in round 1.

1st Numbers Alt. (Without using 50) - ((9 x 6) - 6 - 1) x 3 = 141

I'll give you some company in here James. Peter is awesome, glad he keeps winning. The strange word WAISTS and TOWAIS were there in round 8 as beaters.

Haha yeah good work James, some beaters missed...LOIASIS (learnt off reading one of Davies' games once).

Also really liking Peter, he's just such a likable guy and also good at the show and just looks very in place with everything. Not a massive fan of Gloria Hunniford I must say, she doesn't really add much to the how for me. Really enjoyed Gary Wilmot last week though and would definitely want to see him again.

Yes - mostly agreed, though Gloria's inoffensive enough, and isn't Jon Gaunt. If LOASIS was in R8, then my WAISTS can only equal that. Mine is more boring though.

Ah yes. So my offering was not only more boring, but shorter. And I can't read. Oops.
