Hello Countdowners and welcome to another recap

Middle distance runner Steve "The Jarrow Arrow " Cram makes his debut in DC, he is one of the best athletes to never win an Olympic gold losing out to arch rival Sebastian Coe in the 1984 LA Olympics 1500m final, after his retirement from Athletics in 1994 he now works as a presenter and an athletics commentator for BBC sport.

Steve Cram in action at his favourite track Bislett in Norway where he broke the dream mile world record in 1985 that was previously held by his arch rival Sebastian Coe, but stood for 8 years until 1993 and as of 2021 it is still a European record.
