Don't want to tempt fate, but I wonder how close to the octochamp 8 game record score, Eoin can get. How much would he need to average in the next 4 games to get the record, assuming Eoin wins them all?

Cheers, it is certainly possible for Eoin, I think he will just miss it though and be around third or fourth on the all time list. Will be interesting to see how close he gets.

Yeah, well played. The landlady of a pub we went to said she watched Countdown today and was well impressed with that 14 year old champion who got the conundrum instantly. I asked her if she hated watching youngsters being clever and she said no, it was impressive viewing. She said she was happy with COW in one round. Ho hum, apterous is killing Countdown.
