I had INDORSED in one round
Re: Spoilers for Wednesday, 2nd July
R4: PARTISAN, I find somehow easier to spot than ASPIRANT
Bit disappointed my INDORSED wasn't the max but there we go.

What have you got against Neil, Joseph?
I think you're being a bit unfair...

Re: Spoilers for Wednesday, 2nd July
Because he plays football for a living that makes him the scum of the earth in Joseph's eyes (I'm sure he isn't usually so prejudiced...). Why he "bet his life" on Neil not winning 8 shows is beyond me - the last similar instance of stupidity I recall was when a Mr J O'Neill stated he'd eat his hat if England went on to win the Ashes in 2005.
I had Countmax open when watching today and there were beaters left right and centre - none spotted by me though! Both contestants seemed to struggle with the letters as the show wore on, so it could've been a case of DC holding back on a few words. Neil will have to raise his game to reach the series finals - but I reckon he's capable of doing it.

He's a professional footballer and I just despise football so much that I would love to see it abolished. To most, it may be a stupid reason as to why I would not like Neil to win, but to be fair, not everyone who appears on Countdown is going to be liked by everyone.Lara Searle wrote:What have you got against Neil, Joseph?

I do try to make friends with anyone and everyone I meet (online or in person), but what I have found out, is that most people actually don't want to know you if you aren't a fan of football and if you don't even drink or hang out at pubs too (well in Liverpool anyway) and therefore I seem to make alot of enemies quickly .Dan Vanniasingham wrote:Because he plays football for a living that makes him the scum of the earth in Joseph's eyes (I'm sure he isn't usually so prejudiced...). I know plenty of people who don't like football and yet none of them are as irritating as you. Why is that I wonder?Joseph Bolas wrote: I do try to make friends with anyone and everyone I meet (online or in person), but what I have found out, is that most people actually don't want to know you if you aren't a fan of football and if you don't even drink or hang out at pubs too (well in Liverpool anyway) and therefore I seem to make alot of enemies quickly .

Maybe youse have more in common and youse go out clubbing/pub crawling now and then (which I would never do). They don't like football but maybe they like another sport that youse often hang out and play/watch. Also you could definitely have a joke and a laugh with them whereas I tend to take things way to seriously.Charlie Reams wrote:I know plenty of people who don't like football and yet none of them are as irritating as you. These are just suggestions.

Another here for AMBIENT. Funny that HALOGEN should come up given IODINE and BROMINE make quite common appearances.
