c4countdown: Quick Survey
Just wondered. I know it says "Channel 4" in the header, but yeah, just wondering.

Flawed poll. The phonetics for 'c for countdown' and 'c fore countdown' are profoundly different. If 'C fore Countdown' isnt added to the poll I'll never forgive you Morrison.
If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

I say c-four countdown because that is what it says.
Re: c4countdown: Quick Survey
I always assumed it was called that because it was on C4, but then it was also kind of a weak pun and sounded quite snappy. If it was on BBC1 I don't think the forum would be called BBC1Countdown.

I'm pretty sure it's meant to be a weak punny combination of both, at least that's what I recall original namer Stewart Holden telling me in 2004. I voted for 'c for countdown' because that's how I always say it, and will look funny at someone calling it 'channel 4 countdown' aloud.
Re: c4countdown: Quick Survey
c 4 countdown.
Which isn't the same, although it sounds the same, as c for countdown.

I can believe it. Stewart is stilly fondly remembered for his sizzling sense of humour.

Re: c4countdown: Quick Survey
I say "C four countdown," because that's what Damian Eadie says and when he told me about this site in the countdown green room, he was speaking out loud and not writing it down. I have called it "C four countdown" ever since. True story, that.
