METABOLIC and NOTEPAPER are correct Joseph. Restrain yourself mate
. And Dinos 2 out of 3 of your answers are correct. CATMOBILE sounds great but it is not a valid word and its all in your head

CHEAPJACK and FIREDRAKE are both correct Damian. However, ELASTICIN is a bit conspicuous
But Corby's suggestion of INELASTIC is the legitimate answer I was looking for

By my reckoning (ie I couldnt be arsed and used Countmax) the remaining conundrums begin with AEGKQSTVY
and they're all bloody difficult! To me the only way I would have got them would be with weird guess-words except possibly CAPSULATE.

Makes it a bit easier to outfox us when you put a quota on how many each can answer
. Does this mean Joseph and I can make a few suggestions as to the rest? Keep it open until tomorrow as I probably won't be posting tonight.

CHEAPJACK and FIREDRAKE are both correct Damian. However, ELASTICIN is a bit conspicuous
I sort of thought about Plasticine then dived into Elasticin - never dawned on me about inelastic, which is a crazy word anyway, probably never used more than once a year worldwide. They are very difficult, i've cheated to look up some of the answers and if anyone gets these by knowledge of the word or process of elimination, i'll be amazed

KAOLINITE which I got by guessing then googling to confirm its existence, is that cheating?
A smart ass at work got SGRAFFITO, a bit frustrating to learn that I had put the S in the wrong place but then I was stupid to think that GRAFFITOS was an alternate plural to GRAFFITI.

There is a US computer company called CATAPULSE, that couldn't be right? ... Could it?
Young Mr. Pugh is quite right as economists frequently use the word inelastic to describe products whose demand is not based on price.

Here is another one of my
notorious conundrum alphabets. My apologies if these conundrums have either; been repeated in this forum, shown on TV or are too easy (as I know for a fact that some of these conundrums have been on TV and been repeated)
After a lot of stick from some unruly forumites, I have decided to give conundrums that are accepted by CountMax only and none from my own dictionary - which is unreliable . There are 2 conundrums for each letter of the alphabet.
Enjoy and no cheats please however there is really no need to cheat because these anagrams are rather simple overall
Also, please do not do
too many or I'll have to give you a
quota or a
permanent ban . Don't be greedy

I would, but I am currently working on a chapter of my Countdown Study Aid: 5-vowelled words
.
EDIT: There IS 126 different combinations of having any 5 vowels without repeats (eg AAAAE and AAAEA would count as 1) and there is a total of 1,238 words, 7-9 letters long, that contain 5 vowels

I'm quite sure everyone else left it for me, cos I've never got one before.
I must look at these conundrum threads more often. Conundrums are undoubtedly my weakest subject.
Thanks for that one, Jason. I look forward to more.

For me at least, very common word does not equal very easy conundrum. For me, conundrums using letters like aeinrst are easy ones.

Here is another one of my notorious conundrum alphabets. My apologies if these conundrums have either; been repeated in this forum, shown on TV or are too easy. There are a whopping 46 conundrums with 2 conundrums for each letter of the alphabet except for letters X,Y and Z - for obvious reasons
Enjoy and no cheats please
Also, please do no more than 7 conundrums or I'll have to give you a permanent ban
. This quota will be lifted when people are approaching the final few. Don't be greedy
