This is presumably one of those in-jokes that I'm not in on.

Today's Spoiler thread makes about as much sense as yesterday's deleted one . . .

Re: Spoilers for Friday 3rd July
God, that first numbers game was an absolute bitch, I had 708 Innis's way, but the pixies that run my computer tell me that it was possible using this frankly bizarro method:
(25 - 6) x 75 = 1425
1425 - 6 + 1 = 1420
1420 / 2 = 710
Been five excellent shows this week with the twin awesomenesses of Innis and Matt le Tiss.

I'd just like to say that Innis "beat" me today at a crucial conundrum. Was quality - I missed that damn nine. Nice one mate. Can't wait for your 8th game now.

The opposite to Kirk for me. Managed to outscore Innis for the first time today but it took 14 maxes to do it. (Checked with Kirk and I outscored him too which is as rare as rocking horse ****).
Innis is playing so well though and well done to him. Be interesting to see how long he holds on to number one seed spot.

IIRC, DC said Innis had them well and truly beaten, and they only had sevens. So Sue is right to say she beat them. Another 8 was my favourite word ropinessCharlie Reams wrote:This word "beat"...Sue Sanders wrote:Oooh - I didn't get CONSPIRE for 9 but I did at least beat dictionary corner with an 8 - PRINCESS!!

Thank you, Neil! Was going to have to track Charlie down with my rubber cricket bat - show him what I mean by 'beat '...!!

Saw the nine before the R came out. I was hoping for an R for conspires, and there it was.
