Re: Spoilers for Monday 17th March
I wonder if Des and Carol will be wearing green. I don't think Carol would suit green.

I think today's challenger Joe is a member of this group, so well done to him for winning today's game.
Anyone think John Sargeant/Sergeant looks a bit like Jo Brand?

He is. Well done Joseph on a nice win. Pity you never got a century but then LIFEBLOOD was a tricky conundrum (for some reason I thought it was BLOODLIFE ).dinos_the_chemist wrote:I think today's challenger Joe is a member of this group, so well done to him for winning today's game.

Thanks guys. I hope no-one saw my smiles as being smug, because they weren't. I was just genuinely thoroughly enjoying myself
It all goes to pot soon though!

Re: Spoilers for Monday 17th March
ATONIES was another beater. I just watched this on 4+1. Excellent debut young Joe. I really struggled against you in the first two parts, I missed CREDITOR/DIRECTOR/RHETORIC and am absolutely gutted that I missed HEMIOLA (a word I had in my heats). Well done, sir! I am loving the four large selection by the way.
Edit: I got today's conundrum once I ruled out that it didn't end in -FIED.
Edit 2: I watched today's show with most of my family (it is St. Paddy's day after all!) and they thought you were great too, Joe.

They didn't mention it was St. Patrick's Day, did they? And they missed Irish word of the day BLARNEY too!

Re: Spoilers for Monday 17th March
No they didn't and they normally do mention saint days etc. At the time of the recording they would've known it was St. Patrick's Day surely? or maybe because of the Cheltenham Festival, the recordings are behind in date?Jennifer Turner wrote:They didn't mention it was St. Patrick's Day, did they? Again, thanks for the comments. My Mum just said "It's quite something to be congratulated by David O'Donnell". I'm rooting for you in this series, David.

Aww Joe you're so cute!
Great performance mate, shame about the bastard-hard conundrum spoiling the century you deserved. (I would've buzzed on 29 secs with FLOODIBLE by the way )
Can I see a picture of your mum?
