A close but important victory for returnee and now-ZoomDown Champion Jase Cullen leaves John in a bit of a pickle; John is currently 6th with 5 wins and 594 points (avg. just under 100). John may yet scrape in the finals, and turn out to statistically be the strongest contestant among non-returnees in this stacked series!

I reckon it’ll be 6 returnees and 2 newcomers in this series finals.

Susie arguably made a reference to Harry Potter (referring to the "dark arts") but didn't mention Avada Kedavra, which is apparently derived from abracadabra. I'm made to wonder if there's some deliberate irony in taking what originated as a charm against illness and fever and turning it into a spell for killing people.
