I can run in-person stuff better than I can online…Good job too, because Rugby’s back!
Yes, tis I-everyone’s favourite God-botherer (getting by with a little help from some friends), with two lots of tournaments in the Midlands’ second-favourite railway town.
Main change is that all tournaments are now playing the standard form of Countdown that we all know and (mostly) love.
Cost-£5 for Friday, £10 for Saturday, £15 for both. To be paid here-https://paypal.me/MSRBrum?country.x=GB&locale.x=en_GB
When-Friday 21st-Saturday 22nd March 2024. Friday, it’ll be CoRugby Warm-Up from 19:00. On the Saturday, it’s CoRugby Main from 11:00
Where-Rugby West Indian Association, 102 Railway Terrace, CV21 3HE (lovely people and cheap tonic water-what more could you want?)
Style-Lincoln/At table style. No variation or changing up. Playing four (Warm-Up)/eight (Main), 9-round games of Countdown at tables of three. Random for first rounds in both-followed by normal Swiss pairs later on. Don’t worry if you get trounced early on-you play opponents who have scored similarly to you so everyone should get some good, well-matched games
IMPORTANT NOTICE-If you wish to have a welcome post put on Facebook to say you are coming as we did before, let me know in the PayPal message/via some other means. Otherwise, I’ll keep things schtum. Similarly, if you are very keen that it is kept quiet you are coming, let me know, and I’ll make arrangements. Only the event hosts will be able to access the player list ahead of time

No such thing as bad publicity...As said on Facebook, if I get more than last year's for the main (37), I'll host Brum with a spray-dyed beard. If you want to make that happen, then get yourself signed-up

Hey, I'm thinking of driving from Coventry for this event but I have a question - is there any parking on site/nereby? I'm happy to pay (within reason).

Hi Tyler. Welcome to C4C and well done on the show last week. Glad you're getting involved with us.Tyler Eaton-Jephcote wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 8:38 am Hey, I'm thinking of driving from Coventry for this event but I have a question - is there any parking on site/nereby? There's no on-site parking, but I believe some people have just parked around the corner in the past (on Spring Street). Failing that, there's a car park just up the road, and it's open 24 hours.
Hope you can make it - it would be great to see another new face.
