Nice.
DENTALIA seems to be a good word to learn as it has pretty common letters and stems to a 9-letter word with 4 different letters (in this case C but also E, M & S).
I'm just glad I managed to nip a round off Tom at last with HOARILY.

It was nice to meet Andy and his wife, and hear his stories about his previous appearances. Think he was frustrated with how he fared at the numbers rounds, but hopefully had a good time overall.

Decided to play along on this one, even though I normally don't do such.

R15 REPLICATE (1.5s) (literally pressed the pause button right before Tom buzzed in)
Tom vs. Me : 87 - 111
Andy vs. Me : 41 - 118
Solid performance there, Tom. Unlucky with the chickens, but still a worthwhile game there.

Excellent stuff Andres. I'd have won 139 - 79 to Tom and 139 - 27 to Andy. Looking forward to see how Tom gets on Tomorrow...Andres Sanchez wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 5:16 pm Decided to play along on this one, even though I normally don't do such.

It's a mass noun according to ODO so I'm not sure GUSTOS should be valid eitherGavin Chipper wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 9:46 amNot on Apterous but I don't have access to the source dictionary. GUSTOS valid though.

It's fine - there's a singular definition
[IN SINGULAR] archaic
A relish or liking:
he had a particular gusto for those sort of performances

Yeah, I'm with you. Not sure that logic is correct! Might be fine, might not!Gavin Chipper wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 11:37 amIt's fine. It can be pluralised because there's an "IN SINGULAR" specification. Got to love the logic!

So it certainly isn't the case that 'in singular' always allows plurals on the tellybox.

Yeah, it's a bit of a minefield.
