Spoilers for Wednesday August 26th 2015 (S73 P40)
Jonathan Wynn got his second win yesterday. Now, some former MPs may argue that someone getting two wins is a significant enough achievement and should retire immediately. But the show is going to follow the rules and allow him to play a third game, at least (insert panel of Gyles' face from Graeme's post). Can he get number 3 today?

Is this one of those daft follow-the-rules ones that makes no sense? OUTWRITE - OUTWRITES - OUTWROTE, if anything, surely?Innis Carson wrote:OUTWRITED in R13. 18 points please!

See this discussion. Recently a large number of new (and old?) words have been added to ODO without any of the usual notes which tell you what the inflections are if they differ from the standard -ed, -ing etc.JimBentley wrote:Is this one of those daft follow-the-rules ones that makes no sense? Cheers Graeme, hadn't seen all that.Graeme Cole wrote:See this discussion. Recently a large number of new (and old?) words have been added to ODO without any of the usual notes which tell you what the inflections are if they differ from the standard -ed, -ing etc.
I wonder how difficult it would be to create a dictionary with all inflections of all words (however obvious)? Anyone got any billion-odd word corpuses lying around that I can borrow?

The best I can do is a paltry 400 million word corpus (COHA).JimBentley wrote:Cheers Graeme, hadn't seen all that.Graeme Cole wrote:See this discussion.
