Re: Birthdays
My birthday is more or less exactly in the middle of august if you didn't already know.
Anyone got any SENSIBLE, COOL, FUN ideas for my party?

I misread that at first. I thought you were suggesting a Larsenesque party. But it might rain outside.Ian Volante wrote:Parties should never be sensible. How about good old Laserquest?

No but if I just said "Any party ideas?", knowing you lot, most of you would say "Ooh I know! A teletubbies party!" or something.Ian Volante wrote:Parties should never be sensible. How about good old Laserquest?
Laserquest is too boyish.

I have the unfortunate affliction of being a boy, it tends to skew my responses Okay then, how about a Barbie and make-up party?Soph K wrote:No but if I just said "Any party ideas?", knowing you lot, most of you would say "Ooh I know! NO WAY! I mean, firstly, Barbies are for 5 year olds. Secondly, make up is cool and I like it, but who'd want to spend a whole day doing make up? ... Good reason for not doing it, IMO.

You obviously need to define your criteria more clearly!Okay then, if you're going for more teenage pursuits, maybe you should steal some booze and spend the day (or ten minutes) getting very drunk. I'm sure you're old enough for that.Soph K wrote:NO WAY! I mean, firstly, Barbies are for 5 year olds. Secondly, make up is cool and I like it, but who'd want to spend a whole day doing make up? ... No i'm not old enough and that's not a sensible idea, and you know it. Anyway I have tried a sip of wine at home and it stinks and I hate the taste!
I was thinking going to the cinema, maybe the Odeon, but i'd need to wait for ages to decide what i'm watching because every week there are different movies on.
Any good ideas, apart from the cinema, now that you know what sort of thing I want?

An interesting task (for those of you that have the time or inclination) would be to make a calendar of countdowner's or forumites birthdays, I am December 7th if anyone wants to do it, I know that I can't be bothered too though

Isn't that what already exists? Yeah, but he wants to see it as a calendar so you can see stuff in advance rather than just on the day.Ryan Taylor wrote:Isn't that what already exists? I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.
