Spoilers for Wednesday January 29th 2014 (S70 P18)

Post by Jordan F »

Priscilla Munday has now equaled Bobby Banerjee with the most wins in the series with six. A win or at least 95 points will put Priscilla in the number 1 seed as of now. Can she get the seventh or at least overtake Bobby today?

UNHOPED as a R1 beater.
Possibly the first contestant to accelerate with a mic clipped...

Nice to see RAVELIN get a mention though they missed the alt in R11 of IDOCRASE and the 7 in the last letters round.
480 is possible on the 478 round.

Now that you've mentioned 480:
(100-10*(7+1))*(25-1) = 480.

POMELO in the last letters round, not sure if it's the max or not.

Nick has some cheek asking the old lady not to die before the finals.

Ooh missed that. I heard Nick say to the challenger "You finally beat the [old] Dragon".
Was glad Rachel berated him on air about "really ought to learn how to talk to women".
I also heard from Jessica that Nick's contract has been renewed 'til 2015.

I am sure there must be a dozen or so forumites who would gladly present Countdown if given a chance.
Daughter Jessica came up with an novel idea. Get 5 different presenters to host the show for five different shows then ask the audience to write/email in with their favourite.

Sorry to see Priscilla lose she was getting quite confident. Well done that lady! Do hope she gets to the finals.
IIRR: The last Scrabble player who did this well was Tia Corkish back in 2012.

In fairness I don't think he actually said that. If he did, then it didn't make it to our screens.

Should Nick leave, I will ask with complete seriousness. I will also be turned down with complete seriousness, but there we go.
