Spoilers for Friday October 18th 2013 (S69 P73)
As we end the week, Mark Hartnett is up to 3 wins, and would like to end on a 4th. Could he get it? He has an interesting challenge today from what I understand. Today's opponent, Bradley Cates, was on the show in early 2007 as an 11 year old and won 3 games himself before losing to our own Ian Volante. How will this match-up turn out?

Wow. That may have been game of the series right there. Very well done Bradley, it looks like he hasn't lost his touch since his 11 year old days. And extremely unlucky to Mark, to put up a performance like that and lose is a tough thing, but clearly Bradley could be octochamp material at this pace.

Would OSTINATED have been available as an alternative nine to antidotes and stationed?
Definitely not Jamie McNeill or Schrodinger's Cat....

We Mark scribbled and buzzed I was expecting to have to go to the tie-break as I got the conundrum almost
instantly - why was it so hard for those in the studio?

Re: Spoilers for Friday October 18th 2013 (S69 P73)
Great game.
Standard wise pretty good too, especially the challenger in his first game (10-11 maxes maybe?)
Shame about Mark in round 9 and indeed the conundrum, as a tie-break would have been a very fitting end to the game.
Well played both, shame you can't both be in finals.

ENROBING in round 11.
Great game there, two double centuries in a week! Bradley looks like some player and I'm sure he's capable of going far, although with this series, you can't be sure. Unlucky Mark as you played very well too.

Yup, 10-11 maxes, so super-high quality. I just missed MORPHIA as above, so another 14 maxer this week for me............Andy Platt wrote:Standard wise pretty good too, especially the challenger in his first game (10-11 maxes maybe?)

Must be a bit aggravating for Mark to mark his début with a double century game and get finished on a double century game.
GELADAS in round 1.
3rd Numbers Alt.: (((8 + 4) x 5) - 1) x 4 = 236

Re: Spoilers for Friday October 18th 2013 (S69 P73)
Cheers all. My mistake with the numbers was writing it down. I had it done in my head and wasn't going to bother but then thought I'd be better off but wrote down 3-2 instead of 4-3. We actually had to do a re-take because Rachel didn't spot it at the time. Someone in the gallery did. Thought the conundrum was hauntingly but then realised only one N so that was that. I was delighted anyway with my performance and was happy to win at least one game. Especially being drawn against Abdi. Have to say I was knackered too by that game and it was only the afternoon one. If Bradley doesn't go on to be octo champ then I'd love to see who beats him.

Bad luck there Mark, but still very well played, in all your games.
Although 3 wins and 405 points won't take you to the finals, this post is now out of date already.

This was an excellent game! Well done to both players, shame we won't be seeing any more of Mark
The standard of this series has been brilliant so far, lots of brilliant contestants. Long may it continue!
