Spoilers for Wednesday July 24th 2013 (Series 69 Prelim 18)
Rory Coleman won on a mighty impressive comeback yesterday to get his third win. Can he get a 4th? It will not be an easy feat by any stretch, for today is the long awaited debut of apterite Zarte Siempre. This is actually at least his second in-person encounter with Rachel Riley, as he hosted Mark and Innis' Countdown Marathon. How will he do on the other side?

The day has finally arrived. One of the most eagerly awaited prelims for several years.
Will Rory take his second apterite scalp, or will he get his comeuppance against Zarte?

Very good debut performance, Zarte! FUSARIA was the pick of them for me and I think you have the potential to build even further on this. Looking forward to watching your other show(s)!

Blimey! I never realised it was Zarte from Apterous until he picked the three large numbers. Zarte I was surprised to see you were a sensible person, for some reason I thought you would be a nutter. Well done on your ton debut.

I can assure you, if you saw some of the exchanges that weren't on film, you'd be right in your assumptionsJojo Apollo wrote:Blimey! Well odd, I got NIDUSES watching the show today, but got NOSODES while in the studio, and I also found out that I got a max game too, which is a nice bonus.Tony Atkins wrote:Only beaters possible seem to be in the SOUNDS round - anyone get them?
But, very well done, Zarte. You overcame your early nerves and put in a stellar performance, which is also the highest score of the series so far too.
OVATES in round 1, SAURIAN in round 7, FIDGET in round 10, PROLINE in round 13.

Pleased with my prediction, was looking forward to seeing another potential octochamp, great start, only seven more to go?Dave Preece wrote:Good luck Zarte, 30+ winning margin I've predicted, probably more...!!!
Well done Zarte, until today, I thought your name was pronounced ZART, do you normally use an é at the end of your name as in Pelé?

Well done. Good numbers pick (1st one anyways) and good 9. Very much like my 2nd game in those respects.
I did ((75+50+1)x8)-100+10 for the 3L.

I did remarkably well (for me), Got the 9, Got the conundrum, maxed the numbers, and got a few 6s and a 7... Even my lad (Harry aged 7), got two 6s, and a couple of numbers maxes...!!!

Well done Zarte (pronounced to rhyme with 'party' ). Very good performance against an accomplished opponent. I think Rory was unlucky not to be closer to you at the end. He took a few reasonable gambles on words to try to catch up that didn't pay off. I agree that FUSARIA was nice, as was LIBERAL from Rory. It was also good to see all 3 nines get an airing in the MASTERING / STREAMING / EMIGRANTS round. I also noticed that after the proper handshake, you initiated a second handshake for the wide shot at the end
Looking forward to more. Tres grandes siempre!

I gotta call bullshit on this one. I hope I haven't been saying satay wrong all the time, if I have that's sad because it makes it sound posh like partay. Latte is ok to be posh because it's coffee.Zarte Siempre wrote:Yeah, Zarte rhymes with Satay and Latte

You looked all tidy and behaved sensibly, I was quite disappointed
Good game though. I wasn't keeping score but I'll say that I beat you anyway just because I know that's nice to read when you've been broadcast.

You can ask the people that were there and hear that I didn't entirely behave sensibly. I just appear to have in the edit And I'm fine with you beating me against the TV How many games have I won in a row actually against you though, big man?Jon Corby wrote:You looked all tidy and behaved sensibly, I was quite disappointed

Oh and one last thing all (as I seem to be getting asked this quite a lot) - yes I did know the meaning of outies, no I didn't know the meaning of fusaria
