I would, but I'm really busy that night, mainly cos I'll be celebrating my birthday (which is the day before) by going out and listening to the mighty Terriers.

Hi,

Graeme Cole (of Ask Graeme? fame) has kindly agreed to write the recap of this Friday's match (22nd February), because I am away for the weekend.

And I have swapped with James Robinson next week so that I will be recapping Thursday's match (28th February) and James will be recapping the 30th Birthday Championship Final (Friday 1st March). Let's hope there are enough emoticons left by then!

As I'm unfortunately now in a situation where I'm out of work and might be for the next few weeks, I'd like to do a recap as when I recapped all my preliminary games, I really enjoyed it and believe I could do a really good recap

I understand if the recap people are all confirmed for the next month or so and/or there may be a waiting list, but if there is an opportunity to do one, I sure won't disappoint!!

I'll be quite happy to stand in for you on any of the remaining days, James. Wednesday's a slightly better day for me to do but Thurday's fine too. If anyone else wants to do a guest recap, they should probably get first choice though since I already have a regular recap slot.

Slightly off topic but the last couple of times James has been away, the wiki hasn't been updated very well and we're often behind when he gets back. I don't have a wiki account but if someone who has one is prepared to update it while James is away, I'd be happy to generate the wiki text from the recap writer and send it to them to make it easier.

I'm unable to do the Tuesday recaps for the 25th June (4th QF) and 2nd July as I'm away. I'm not leaving until the Tuesday so I could possibly swap the 25th with Graeme and do the 24th instead, if that's alright with him. If not that's fine but I definitely can't do any the following week.

Well yes, Andy, it looks as though you actually did more Friday recaps in the last series than he did (five to his three). And I thought it was pretty damn cheeky of him to post the Grand Final recap late on Sunday evening headed "forgetting recap duty since 2012". You'd have thought he'd at least make an effort with that one.

I have no idea how the recap rota is organized (and I've no wish to be on it) but I do get the feeling he's letting the side down a bit.

Presumably people fit the recaps around their lives, which may be busy in some cases. Yeah it might be nice to have a recap up within minutes of a game finishing but I don't think we should have any sort of sense of entitlement about it.

Fair enough, but there seems to be no shortage of people who are keen to do them. If Thomas has other priorities I'd have thought he'd probably prefer to be off the rota anyway.

I've never done a re-cap before, but I'm quite happy to become a trainee re-capper, and could even do this one with a bit of guidance perhaps
