Spoilers for Friday June 7th 2013 (Series 68 Prelim 51)
We end this week (on a Friday for once!) with Glen Webb on two wins, though his second was a touch lower than his first. Hopefully no matter how he wins, he'll get a win today and move up to 3.

Sorry to keep pointing out errors like this, but are you quite sure you've got the numbers of the preliminary rounds right? 48-51 seem to have come around twice now, and they don't match up with the round numbers in the recaps section.

I have to say this. Even if Richard ends up losing by a large margin, UMPTEEN is one of the better spots I've seen in awhile, particularly from a non-apterite, so I'll give him a lot of credit for that.

Another very good performance, Glen, well played.
Slightly odd way for the last numbers: (50+(25+10)/5+1)x7 = 406.

I am sad to say I missed this, and UMPTEEN and also MAULERS, but got the rest.Jack Worsley wrote:Another very good performance, Glen, well played.

I hope Glen gets a good night's sleep. If so I would expect some more good results from him next week.

Agreed, particularly as he'd scored nothing up to that point.Jordan F wrote:I have to say this. Even if Richard ends up losing by a large margin, UMPTEEN is one of the better spots I've seen in awhile, particularly from a non-apterite, so I'll give him a lot of credit for that.
I had ENCODES as an alternative in round 12 but otherwise nothing of note.

Is it just my imagination, or can someone in the audience be heard shouting "YES!" just after Richard says UMPTEEN?

Yeah, I loved that one too. Just stuck on the TOUPEE in that round I was.Guy Barry wrote:Agreed, particularly as he'd scored nothing up to that point.Jordan F wrote:I have to say this. Well odd that both of Glen's conundrum spots were on 28.5 seconds (And that yesterday's was on 29.5 seconds too, well bizarre. )
DINGBATS as a brilliant alternative in round 4.

Ah Tom mentioned on FB that he was too busy for today's and next week's but it was never discussed who should do it.
I can do it tomorrow morning if you like?
And I'll happily do the Giles v Chris/Peter QF or whatevs

Been busy in Preston, so had no chance to respond. (Not that you need my permission to do it, AP. )Andy Platt wrote:No response eh - think I'll just do it at some point today if nobody else commandeers it
