Spoilers For Tuesday June 7th 2011
So, we have entered the 2nd day of Series 65, with Liam Herringshaw now 5 wins to the good. Can make it 6 of the best today
Not if his challenger has anything to do about it And he's in for his biggest test of his run so far, as the first graduate from the Apterous Academy this series, is arriving on the scene today, and it's Graeme Cole, no less. (At least it's not Graham Cole, The Bill actor in DC today, or there'd be so much confusion )
Join Liam Tiernan (not Herringshaw) for the recap later.

Re: Spoilers For Tuesday June 7th 2011
I've been looking forward to seeing Graeme on the show. He is my closest rival on Apterous, we have played 18 times and are tied at 9 a piece. I don't doubt he'll run up bigger scores and do better overall than I did.
Good luck Graeme.
Good luck Graeme.

Brilliant! I was shouting "R! R! R!" at the telly; then it came up and both contestants also got the 9. Great stuff

Re: Spoilers For Tuesday June 7th 2011
I have high expectations for this game. Both players off to a good start already. I'm guessing Graeme will go on to win, but I hope Liam's five wins will be enough to get him to the series finals. He's a real cool dude (even if I did send him an aptomail and he didn't respond!).

VENIALLY is brilliant! Surprised DC didn't come up with MENIALLY though.

EUCHRING now! This game just gets more and more awesome! TAUTOGS in the RAGOUTS round. Don't know why I'm joining in with the whole posting equallers thing (as opposed to beaters). Everyone seems to do it. Must be peer pressure.

Graeme seems such a natural in front of the cameras. No sign of nerves. He and Liam are both supercool cats.

Re: Spoilers For Tuesday June 7th 2011
Absolutely amazing game from both players! QUALITY I expect Liam will make it to the finals with his aggregate score; depends how long the series is going to run. Jumping the gun here, but if Graeme goes on to octochampdom (today may well be his toughest test), then there's some possibility that he and Liam will face each other again in the finals.

PERGANAS was a beater in round 11. WD Graeme, Liam was certainly no pushover. Nice one getting one of the "new" words in there too.

FLATLINED in round one I think.
Great ton debut Graeme.
Also commiserations to Liam, that was a very good contest.

Excellent first game Graeme. Maintain that standard and I expect you'll become the first Octochamp of the new series.

Top stuff gentlemen. Very glad to narrowly avoid Liam on my run. I'm sure Graeme can go on and set down an early marker for the series.

Highest scoring debut ever for someone who didn't get the conundrum! (Yes it took a while to look back through) - and the highest scoring debut full stop since a certain Edward McCullagh. Great start Graeme - hope it continues

That was SUPER AWESOME!!!
If Graeme does become an octochamp, that means I recap 4 of his shows.
MY JOY IS UNBRIDLED AT THE MOMENT!!!!

Great stuff Graeme, really enjoyed watching that. And hopefully Liam will still make it to the quarters, he deserves it.

Re: Spoilers For Tuesday June 7th 2011
Thanks for all the comments, everyone. Nerves probably didn't show because I was just enjoying the experience of doing something I'd wanted to do for years. Also I'm proud to have got a record (even an esoteric one that takes a while to say), thanks Marcus.
Things I've learned:
I sound like *that*?! Dudley Doolittle mentioned at one point that I sound like a parrot on speed. I see what he means.
VENIALLY and EUCHRING are both unpencilled on apterous.
604 was really easy to get to, but it took me 26 seconds to notice this.

Lol yeah I quite like how fast you speak, made me chuckle first time round!Graeme Cole wrote: I sound like *that*?! Dudley Doolittle mentioned at one point that I sound like a parrot on speed. I see what he means.
I'd already had this result spoiled for me but I decided to watch it last night anyway and I'm glad I did. I only echo what was said before that no one really deserved to lose (93 losing score - ouch) and the consecutive rounds of VENIALLY and EUCHRING were ridiculously good...I was nowhere near them and also wasn't oo confident about RECOMBINE either. So just 3 shows into this series I'm pretty sure we've seen the best game of the preliminaries in terms of quality and also witnessed 2 of the best spots so far. I tried to watch your next one straight after this but sadly I feel asleep round about round 4 (but it was 3am by this point so I can be forgiven).

Only just watched this show and your others Graeme - no wonder you've been beating me so much on Apterous
Hope Liam gets to come back for the finals because he's not bad himself!
