Actually, this could be another of my Series 15 bloopers. As DESPARE isn't given in COD7, it seems possible that the answer was the more likely SPREADING and DESPARING was my interpretation of an incorrect contestant offering. Having said that, it seems a bit unusual for me to put neither the time of the guess nor the incorrect guesser, although the comment in the bottom right-hand corner of the scan does seem to indicate that one of them offered DESPARING and then got SPREADING after the 30 seconds. I blame the fact the notes were made in green ink - never a good idea! A mystery for now, methinks...
