Calling All Wannabe Recappers!!

This is a message for all you people who want to be the next generation of recappers.

As you maybe aware, spaces in the recap rota are very scarse nowadays, but thanks to recent events, a few more spaces have peered out in the Monday & Tuesday slots, mainly due to Ryan and Oliver's inactivity in recent/coming weeks.

As it is still unclear as to the length of their absences, I'm sorting out the spaces, as soon as they are confirmed to be vacant.

So, for starters, tomorrow's recap, which was going to be Oliver's, is available. Who wants it

This is STRICTLY on a first come, first serve basis only.

I'll keep updating on the current situation, as and when it occurs.

Right, an update on the next 3 weeks of recapping:

W/C: 14/03/11 - Just Monday's special, which I'll take care of.

W/C: 21/03/11 - Mon: Marcus, Tue: A new recapper, whose identity I'll keep quiet until nearer the time, Wed/Thu/Fri: Me & Mike as normal.

W/C: 28/03/11 - Mon/Tue: Both available, but first digs to Rhys, as he asked nicely. Wed/Thu/Fri: Me & Mike as normal.

I'd have thought you'd have known by now that I don't like to take a break for matters Countdown. But it doesn't matter anyway, as long as they're done, that's all that matters.

Oh, by the way, my mystery recapper for Tuesday's recap has had to withdraw, so it's now up for grabs again.

Hey I'll happily take up a regular spot recapping again if anything is open. I don't want to just whisk right back in by discouraging other people from doing it though but like I say if a day is free to do then I'll do a day (or two) each week again.

It would be preferable if it could be done on the night, so since you're available on Wednesday, do you want to switch, and I take Monday and you take Wednesday if you want.

TAYLOR TO RETURN TO MONDAY SLOT

After behind-the-scenes negotiations were completed this morning, Ryan Taylor has agreed to come out of his self-imposed exile and return to his Monday recap slot on a full-time basis effective forthwith.

As with regard to Tuesday next week, I am in discussions with a couple of parties at the moment, but those don't seem to be fruitful, but they're not dead in the water yet.

So, more breaking news when I get it.

For two weeks only, the Friday recap will be up for grabs (i.e. the 6th and 13th of May), as I'll be pretty busy on both weekends. Any takers for either or both? Favouritism may be given to those who don't currently do them.

I'll take this Friday. Will be home from work earlier that day, so might as well.

I think that also means it'll be my first current Friday recap, so that gives me the full set.

But I defo don't want Friday the 13th, so someone else can take that!

P.S. James Bradley will be doing next Tuesday's recap, before anyone asks.

Are you asking me? Wednesday the 18th of May...hmm...that isn't in a holiday is it? I do Orchestra on Wednesdays until 4:30 so can't do it, sorry. I can't do Thursdays either, by the way, because I do Rounders then. Plus, I can't watch it on Channel 4+1 or whatever it is called, where it's one hour later than Channel 4, as I would still be at Orchestra/Rounders when it starts, I think. I can do Mondays, maybe Tuesdays and Fridays, unless I have a one-off thing on then. So, I'm afraid someone else will have to do Wednesday 18th's recap...and all Thursday ones and the other Wednesday ones too. Oh and by the way, Joseph doesn't do them - he'll just show me what to do when putting it into the thingy on the computer after I jot it down myself when watching Countdown. (After all, you can't blame me that I only know how to do recaps about 80% because I've only ever actually done about 3 recaps, and they were historical ones! Anyway, as I said, Joseph would only help me about 15 or 20% of the time when I'm putting it into the thingy on the computer...if you know what I'm talking about...)

What what what im confused...so when could i do it? this is gonna be a current recap right? and countdown finishes way before 4:30.........so what do you mean??????????

As long as you do it before 11:59pm on the 18th would be preferable. It's not a mandatory request, but I'm just trying to get these recaps done as quickly and efficiently as possible, and to a high standard.

In regards to the other bit of timing, I'm just pointing out that finishing orchestra at 4:30 doesn't mean you can't do the recap later, assuming that you'll record it or catch up with it on 4OD.
