Not impossible, but they would probably have to spread out nicely, or in other words, start their run on a Thursday or Friday, then they'd be on 3 separate weeks.Adam Gillard wrote:Every Wednesday I half expect another aptoctochamp to be waiting in the wings, but there can't be that many to have one on every week, surely?...

Yes, but there was no shouting from me, just an inward "oh no, not again"!Graeme Cole wrote:Did anyone else notice Jeff made the all-too-common error of saying "astrological" instead of "astronomical" during his opening anecdote? And shout things at the screen as a result?
Indeed, it got me thinking along the lines of "a telescope that sees into the future?"Graeme Cole wrote:Did anyone else notice Jeff made the all-too-common error of saying "astrological" instead of "astronomical" during his opening anecdote? And shout things at the screen as a result?
Where did you find this out?Rhys Benjamin wrote:I was disgusted by the shampoo advert. Not that it's for shampoo, but the sound effects were from Formula One's blackest day - Senna's death. A quick glance at the internet found that they were technically the same sound.
I found nothing.Rhys Benjamin wrote:On the internet.
That's because the video was taken off YouTube.Gavin Chipper wrote:I found nothing.Rhys Benjamin wrote:On the internet.
Technically? You mean they sampled the engine noise and the crunch or something?Rhys Benjamin wrote:I was disgusted by the shampoo advert. It sounds unlikely. The only "evidence" is apparently some video that was taken down from YouTube.Ian Volante wrote:Technically? And why would a shampoo advert use the audio from a Formula 1 crash in which someone dies? Who could possibly think that was a good idea (given that any production company making such an advert would have access to pretty much an unlimited amount of stock sound effects)? It all sounds very unlikely to me.Gavin Chipper wrote:It sounds unlikely. The only "evidence" is apparently some video that was taken down from YouTube.Ian Volante wrote:Technically? I would link to it, but I can't.JimBentley wrote:And why would a shampoo advert use the audio from a Formula 1 crash in which someone dies? Can you at least link us to the shampoo advert so we can hear what you're on about. I doubt I'll care either way though.Rhys Benjamin wrote:I would link to it, but I can't.
Well, you've certainly convinced me!Rhys Benjamin wrote: I would link to it, but I can't.
Cheers Gavin. Sounds like standard stock noises to me. How is one supposed to differentiate between the sounds of one formula 1 race from another anyway? They all sound exactly the same. Not to mention that they all look pretty much the same too. What a rubbish sport.Gavin Chipper wrote:I think it's this. There's no crash sound. I think Rhys might just mean the racing noises were from the same race. But even if the "proof" video no longer exists, you could at least tell us the way in which the video enlightened you to this fact.

The Tories were a completely different party in the 1880's! The Conservatives and the Tories were 2 different parties¬!Ian Volante wrote:I bet Ecclestone's a tory.Mark James wrote:Cheers Gavin. I've always suspected there was something odd about Rhys.Ian Volante wrote:You do know he's older than Monty Burns?Rhys Benjamin wrote: The Tories were a completely different party in the 1880's! The Conservatives and the Tories were 2 different parties¬!
