Re: STELLING TO GO!!!!!!!!

If any "well-known" name gets the job it could be a disaster. To anyone who doesn't follow football through Sky Jeff Stelling was completely unknown and thus a breath of fresh air. What he has done is made the show much more about the contestants and less about the presenter than anyone el...

Re: Spoilers For Friday June 10th 2011

Interesting. In the last series Andrew Mossford had a second go having been wrongly denied a victory in series 63 against Tom Rowell. His reward? To be pitched in against Ed McCullogh. And now James's reward for also receiving a dodgy decision is to be put in the path of another player who's obvious...

I like the thoughtful way the op hides Ed as winner of series 64 just in case someone had yet to watch the previous Friday's final. Showing Adam in the reserves list might just have been a clue though....

Re: Spoilers for Friday June 3rd 2011

Just watched the second semi and the final back-to-back and have to say Ed timed his run brilliantly. Great end to a very good series. Congratulations to both players, not only for the high standard but for the spirit in which the game was played. With Jeff leaving after the next series hopefully th...

Not as depressing as to not make it to a second game at all, and whilst we don't know why Graham Hill couldn't make it - he could be ill for exanmple or have a family crisis - I'd be staggered if it was because he was worried about losing.

But while theres no way someone as good as you would ever lose to a 60+ year old woman who's only practice comes from watching on TV, you could have just declared the same as her on a few rounds when you were way ahead. Have to feel sorry for a couple of the people who lost to Andy in the last few days; they would surely have beaten either of these two quite easily.

Call me cynical but I suspect they were determined to get another lady champion somehow, and this was the easiest way to achieve it.

I've thought in the past that one or two talented young players went on the show a year or two too soon, and missed out on winning the series as a result.
