Re: Spoilers for Wednesday 2 March 2022 (Series 85, Prelim 43)
I got caught by the impalas being valid - thinking impala was a mass noun. Got shown it was valid in apto - that was enough for me and we moved on quickly to the next round... Can't really see how the system used should be improved by adding subjectivity - especially when the subjectivity is often u...

Re: Your preferred format for CO-events
Well i've only done both once - but categorically I prefer lincoln for selfish reasons - the tactics of the letters, feels like you chat more and are more social on your tables. But i do get that bristol has its perks, and it makes it better at the top as you cant be shafted by low scoring games vs ...

Really is amazing how far vegan products have come in recent years. I remember trying some in 2012 and being appalled. The Linda Mccartney duck is genuinely nicer than any duck i've ever had. I dont see myself going vegan anytime soon but having these options has certainly brought my consumption as ...

Fantastic from Dan, early favourite for the series.
Thought he had some tricky games too in there, at least two banana skins.
Excited to see series 85 break the record for the most octochamps in one series with 82 the way this is going so far!

Colin Murray drew in 768,000 on 9 February, incl. one week of catch-up: highest ratings for 8 years, I believe. For 2:10 pm I’d say over 500k is good, 800k even better (Neighbours gets this figure at 1:45 pm). 768k for C4 at 2:10 pm is asking for a shift to 3 pm. that episode slapped... At what poi...

Round 9 numbers decision to go 1L when 14 behind vindicated by the late letters spot, good tactics and definitely well thought through.

Feel bad for challenger there but it was a fair decision to disallow. I suspect he saw it very last second and with it being such a pressure spot he just couldn't quite remember how he did it.
But fair play to the champ for keeping his composure and an excellent conundrum spot!

Don't be silly Adam... 1. She's not hot enough for the permanent role. 2. Based on just one show, she lacks charisma (though that could just be first day nerves) 3. She moves clumsily when putting up letters. She'll probably be an adequate replacement, but nowhere near 'fantastic'. And that numbers...

Great, I hope she does well. People judged her for not instantly getting a pretty tricky numbers game before the break. It's a close call between winning a series and winning a big Co:Event. Maybe on another day I would have ranked the TV higher. The thing that swung it was that to win a big Co:Event you always have to beat at least 1 or 2 very strong players, whereas in a TV series, quite a few champions end up sai...

The important thing to remember is that it’s who has the longest word, not the obscurest word. So you shouldn’t get het up on bizarre words to the exclusion of everything else. So you should learn as many words as you can , but not at the expense of always striving for the longest word when playing...
