Note that MUNCHIE* has since been removed from Oxford Dictionaries Premium in an update; so it was valid at time of recording, but not anymore. It is due to be removed from Apterous too:

Yeah it looked like it but actually the correct spelling of the singular was 'munchie' and not 'munchy'. One other example is 'beastie' (no 'beasty').
So 'munchies' is now invalid too.
