Series 63 Runner up and one of the best prodgies to appear on the show at the tender age of 14 years old it's our very own Eoin Monaghan. After his appearances on Countdown, a new production rule which prohibits people under the age of 16 appearing on Countdown was enforced by the team. This effectively makes Monaghan the last ever contestant under that age to appear on Countdown.Years later and after his Countdown exploits he went on to represent Oriel College Oxford in the 46th series of University Challenge 2016-2017.
