Hello and welcome to another recap after seeing Patrick Thompson become its 93rd champion and Charlie Harrison become it's 93rd runner up....... the search is on the for 94th champion and runner up so let's find out in 6 months time who that is going to be ? We have our carry over champion Karen Pearson who is going well with 4 wins so far........can she make it to 8 wins.......so let's find out if she can become the first octo-champ of series 94.............but in other news it is Wimbledon fortnight........so for this recap lets go with the unlikliest winners

In 1987 Pat Cash won his only Wimbledon title by defeating the favourite and world no 1 at the time Ivan Lendl who himself lost to the defending champion Boris Becker a year before. He finally retired from the sport in 1997 but still remained active in tennis as a co-commentator working for the BBC and as a coach.........coaching players such as Greg Rusdeski Mark Philippoussis and CoCo Vandeweghe.

Richard Krajicek won his only Wimbledon title in 1996 by pulling off one of the most sensational upsets by defeating and breaking the stranglehold of 3 time champion Pete Sampras in the quarter finals. In 2001 up and coming star Roger Federer denied Pete Sampras an 8th title by defeating him in the 4th round therefore ending his dominance. Plagued with so many injuries Richard Krajicek retired from tennis in 2003.

In 1994 Conchita Martinez pulled off one of the most audacious upsets by defeating 9 time champion Martina Navratilova therefore denying her a 10th singles title making this her only Wimbledon title win. Despite retiring from tennis in 2006 she still remained active in the sport coaching players such as Mirra Andreeva Karolína Plíšková and had success with fellow compatriot Garbiñe Muguruza earning her an award for coach of the year 2021
