Maybe I'm wrong. but didn't the challenger use the 2 twice in the final numbers round?

No. She first used the 2 in the selection, and later on, she made another 2. Hope this explains.

Having re-watched it, she said “times 2” when she likely intended “times 60” and Rachel assumed the latter in her writing.
