The guy from the Levi's launderette advert has died. He was only 59. Must have been his bad jeans.

I have to admit I wouldn't have known who that was without it being in the news today.

Just looking at this article. Sorry to be shallow, but real ugly fuckers, the Rolling Stones. Quite scary as well.

Most bands in the 60s were ugly fuckers. It's almost as if in those days it was the actual music that mattered rather than their look. Thank God we've come so far since then.

John Challis too (Boycie on Only Fools and Horses). A bit psychopathic to mention Jimmy Greaves and not him.

Plus he wasn't a prolific goalscorer in the sixties and early seventies

True - he scored most of his goals in the eighties and early nineties.Marc Meakin wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 5:47 pmI felt they deserved seperated posts.Gavin Chipper wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 5:20 pm John Challis too (Boycie on Only Fools and Horses). Jimmy Greaves was one of those people who I was never quite sure whether he was laready dead or not, as he'd been in the news multiple times for having pretty bad health problems. It was like when Dudley Moore died. Again?

Towards the end of his playing career in the mid to late seventies he was heavily on the booze so its pretty remarkable he made irmt to 81
George best barely reached 60

With Gary Waldhorn dying, only two of the main cast members of The Vicar of Dibley are still alive - Dawn French and James Fleet (Hugo Horton).

Re: Deathwatch 2017
As mentioned elsewhere the comedy legend Barry Cryer died today.
I recently read his autobiography and he wrote for some legends The Two Ronnie's, Morecombe and Wise, Kenny Everett and even Frankie Howerd, where he wrote a lot of his monologues including his hesitations, repetitions and his seemingly spontaneous digressions.

No doubt Elliott will already know this, but oldest person in the world Kane Tanaka died recently at 119.
