Abdi dances his way into an early lead with DISCOED.

Another 6 points for Abdi, as he gets AGORAS. A pleasant smell from DC also as they get AROMAS.

C2: 640. (6+3) x 7 x 10 + 10 (10)
Score: 23–10 (max 25)

No problem with this numbers game, as both players get 10.

Teatime teaser: USAGEFIT -> FATIGUES

Stuck on 4's here! Not even OT can help us this time, but at least Michael gets some points.

Abdi goes a further seven ahead with INSULAR. DC got URINALS. That really is taking the P*** :lol:

Score: 44–14 (max 46)

Another 10 for Abdi as Michael again fails to deliver with the numbers.

Abdi is on drugs in this round as he spots HEPARIN. This really HAMPER's Michael's score.

Score: 51–20 (max 60)

Michael comes up with a sticky 6 in GLOOPY. Everybody missed the max word though. I think we deserve an APOLOGY for that.

Round 9: 6, 7, 8, 5, 7, 100. Target: 984.

C1: 984. (6x5) - 7 + 100 x 8 (10)
C2: 987.
Score: 61–20 (max 70)

Abdi gets 984 not written down, but he delivers the goods and goes a further 10 ahead.

Teatime teaser: RAPVIDEO -> OVERPAID

Sixes for both players. DC come up with an 8 though, VEXATION.

Michael is one of a number of HEROES who have sat in the challenger's chair. But Abdi and his HORSEMEN are on the march today.

Susie talks about the word RAMSHACKLE, apparently a variant of RANSACK.

The numbers are up in this round. Abdi gets another 10 points, leaving Michael's 1 away attempt redundant.

No one buzzes. The answer was RECONVENE.
Final Score: 99–40 (max 120)
