Episode 5723
I'm just curious to know — with all the connections to Countdown, all this site's user have, how come no one has no idea what happened...? Or are we not allowed to make it public, like a spoiler or something? Surely someone we know was in the audience?

It's strange - I mean I totally understand the secrecy about not saying why it was pulled, must be something serious which is totally fair enough, but I thought we might have been told the score for it by now.

I have been told some information from Glen, although since it hasn't been confirmed, I didn't feel like I should say, but it's definitely down similar lines to the previous incident.....................Andy Platt wrote:It's strange - I mean I totally understand the secrecy about not saying why it was pulled, must be something serious which is totally fair enough, but I thought we might have been told the score for it by now.

Peado then? Name and shame I say, but, as shallow as it might seem, I was kinda on about the score etc!

Re: Episode 5723
There was an episode of a programme I was supposed to be on years ago which had a contested subsequently edited out (for unknown reasons) - weirdly enough, you could hardly tell they'd done it, I assume they got lucky that the person in question got knocked out early.

Re: Episode 5723
Tbh, if there's any chance a paedo was involved (which as far as I can tell from this thread there definitely was) then just tell the Sun, they'll sort it out and hopefully we'll get our episode back.
In fact, new game: Sun style headlines about paedos on Countdown. I'll start with "Can I have a Paedo please, Bob" (that's Countdown, right?).

Re: Episode 5723
Didn't someone else mention that once on deal or no deal they removed an episode, after the contestant was caring for a relative at the same time, and the relative afterwards died, and they wanted the program removed due to emotional stress? Perhaps, on a less disturbing note this could have been the reason why. Understandably for wiki reasons people might want the scoreline, but due to many apto's on this series I'd be surprised if it affected general proceedings. I'd say that we as an audience should probably move on.

Re: Episode 5723
Surely part of the advantage of this rule change is that we can safely have paedos on now anyway? So I don't understand the fuss. It must be something else.
