Spoilers for Tuesday June 4th 2013 (Series 68 Prelim 48)

Post by Jordan F »

Chris Ball has gotten her second win, and now she is on the verge of possibly making the finals. A win or a loss with 80 or more points will place her in the current top 8. A loss with 73-79 points will put her ahead of Philip Jarvis for the alternate spot. We'll see if she can make any of those things happen.

Another alternative for round 9 was ((25 x 9)-6) x 3. I also had an alternative for round 3: (((5 x 10) + (9 - 6)) x 4 - 25.

I was surprised that POSEY went without remark in round 4. At first I thought the contestant had misdeclared and offered POSY as a five-letter word, but there's also a slang word meaning "characteristic of being a poser, trendy or fashionable in a superficial way". Surprised this is in the dictionary!

The same, but shows what we know :!: :P

DIASTOLE/SODALITE in round 2, MADISON in round 11.

Also thought that VENEROUS was there in round 1, but apparently it's the obsolete form of VENEREOUS, but that's not in either :!:  :P
