Jessica spotted LUCERNE in round 12 (CLUSTER round) and discussion ensued as to whether it took an S. Lexplorer says no. The definition in the ODE3 doesn't specify anything. It's a plant known as Alfalfa so you have to look under Alfalfa to check whether its a mass noun or not and then apply it to LUCERNE !!

Round 10 a possible 9 in REMASKING* was scuppered as it was not in ODE3 nor Collins!

Also, what about OXIDATE in round 13? I know the usual verb is "oxidize", but the noun is "oxidation" and some sources list it as an alternative.

REMAKING is fine. Unfortunately, there's no OXIDATE^, I think OXIDATION is the closest there is.
