Giles got arguably his most impressive win yesterday, scoring 120 points out of a possible 121. Can he keep up this standard with a fourth win today?

Join James for the recap later.

First numbers ((9-7)x6+75)x10-7. Alt on R1 INWARDS but I didn't see the 8 there.

Another 8 missed by all in R4, including me.

This must have been recorded early in the morning as Giles seems as bad as I am at numbers before the second coffee of the day!

This is from the desk of Innis Carson, not me, but HALOFORM is there in the same round.

Awesome again, harsh of Nick to say you were slow on the conundrum but probably meant as a kind of convoluted compliment.

People criticised Nick for a similar remark aimed at Jack in his first few games. We shouldn't be too sensitive about a bit of pantomime booing and Nick knows quite enough not to make a similar remark to a contestant having a bit of a nightmare.

Congratuations on another great win Giles.

Here's how I did...

R1 - INWARDS (which seemed to go unspotted by everyone)
R2 - treaded (Checked on Lexplorer to find it's invalid, which surprised me since you can Tread. Also, if I'd inserted the H I could have had THREADED)
R3 - 6 Away (75 + 9 = 84, 7 - 6 = 1 + 84 = 85 x 10 = 850 + 7 = 857)
R4 - RUSTIER
R5 - BUMPIER
R6 - On Target (8 x 50 = 400 + 100 + 6 + 7 = 513)
R7 - SWOTTED
R8 - FLOOR
R9 - On Target - (50 x 5 = 250 - 10 - 240. 6/6 = 1, 240 - 1 = 239)
R10 - DENIALS
R11 - COSTING
R12 - GAGES
R13 - SOUNDING
R14 - On Target - (10 + 6 - 1 = 15 x 25 = 375 - 7 = 368)
Conundrum - Beaten by Giles on the buzzer, but I did spot it before he said so I'll take it as a win over Nick.

If I've worked it out correctly, Giles would have beaten me 108-66 while I would have beaten Nick 57-95.

I didn't do as well as yesterday, which annoyed me. But I'm still beating at least the challenge, so that's giving me some confidence for Monday.

TREAD, TROD, TRODDEN

Edit - People can talk about treaded tyres though.

He was clearly just messing about since he normally gets them so quickly.

I'm more amazed that I seem to be the only one on here who noticed that the "W" was an upside down "M", which is a shame, as that would've brought up MARINADES for 9...........

AGAVES in round 12 and UNSIGNED in round 13.

Nicely done again, Giles. ;) :) :D Half-octochampdom up. 8-) 8-)

Very well played again, Giles. Your score today is higher than any score in Series 67! Good luck for your remaining show(s) - I know good luck is a silly thing to say when you've finished recording, but... And all the best for Monday, Mark.
