So, we're now into the final week of Countdown in Series 67 and 2012.

And as per usual, it's the final 2 quarter-finals, both semi-finals and the grand final that will be shown this week.

The form guide has prevailed so far, with both the top 2 seeds in the semis already, but who will join them...............

Today is the all female clash between the No.3 Seed Heather "The Sevenoaks Sizzler" Styles and the No.6 Seed Tia "The Bristol Brainbox" Corkish.

The winner plays David Barnard on Thursday for a place in Friday's final.

Congratulations Heather! I have to say that my favourite part was Tia's "Eh?" at the end though

Well done both contestants today. Tia has seemed serious throughout but her 'eh' joke was miles better than Alistair's lame effort. I think the semi against DBB will be tough but it would be great to see a female in the grand final.

Well done to Heather for todays win, I must admit seeing her spot the words she did I was getting rather nervous about playing her. The semi-final was a good match though and something to look forward to watching so don't miss it

Very good performance, Heather. It was a close game until the last third but you were a worthy winner. Thursday's semi final won't be easy but on this form I think it will be a close one.

The camera seemed to show more of DC today with a bit of the bottom of the desk showing, unlike Thursday. I wonder if this was the HD cameras. I didn't record in HD so didn't see any other differences although maybe slightly brighter in general.

Funny you mention that! I thought weird things were happening with the colours today, which I've never noticed before. Thought it was just me and my eyes, but now I am wondering.

P.s. as well as the weird colour-shift thingy, it definitely seemed brighter to me too.

It's still not quite in HD yet, but there were some noticeable differences to the screen, if you look at the Teatime Teasers, for example.

Yes... I did notice Heather's hair had a noticeable green tinge to it - tried to capture it to see clearly but my C4 internet feed buffered badly today.

Thanks for all the kind comments. My favourite part was also Tia's "Eh?" at the end! My hair is actually green; I thought dyeing it would do the trick, but obviously not in HD
