So, we've reached Episode 50 of this series, and if you look at the previous 49, the top 5 seeds so far have appeared on 40 of the 49 episodes, so we're seeing top-level stuff for the majority of this series.

So, based on that another octochamp will be on its way pretty soon.

But, after Tia's 8th win on Friday, we're back to Square 1b, with 2 new contestants.

And back in DC for the first time since the series final of the last series is the always welcome Dr. Phil Hammond.

I settled back after work looking for a nice easy game today with two new players and promptly lost to both. The standard in post-octochamp games has been very high this series with 93 the lowest winning score. I had no answer to many of the words today. Well played both.

I just played through this game because it's quiet at work and I missed it earlier in the week - I missed the last numbers game and the conundrum to lose to Rose there - what a performance.
