So, we're now back full time
And with Apterous down for now, we can now get back to focusing on Series 67, or if you're a nerd (of sorts) like me, get back to the fact that there are now just 99 days to Christmas.
So, just to recap from 31 days ago, Andy Rossall is our 2-time champion, after beating Grant Waters in his first game, followed by a just as close game with Matthew Burden. Will he make his long-awaited hat-trick today
Making her debut in DC this week, is the former BBC war reporter, Kate Adie.
Join Graeme for the recap later today.

Oh, is it me today? Didn't realise this, which is why I also didn't mention I'm on holiday this week. While I'm still in touch with the world enough to post on forums, I'm afraid I won't be able to do the recap today.

I'll be quite happy to do the recap then if that's OK with everyone.

Yup, that's fine. Although, with the writer down, it'll be a bit trickier. Although I do have all the best words thanks to a bit of ingenuity.

I thought so too, but afraid not.
SURFERS in round 3, PANDECTS in round 9, IODATE in round 12 and MEDIANTS/STEADING in round 13.

This programme brought back memories for me of when the same conundrum came up years ago, when I was watching with my mum and was convinced the answer was CLITORIS, and she told me not to be so rude....

Thanks, could you PM me the words please? I'll just copy and paste the details of an old recap to get the presentation right and replace with today's.

Pretty good standard today I thought. Very close game and an exciting finish.
I had an alternate last numbers solution - using the five small numbers and adding the 25 but I can't remember the selection exactly thus can't remember the exact solution.

Devolute is in the dictionary I won on the show in 2005 - has it been removed from the new oed?

Not in ODE3 John. Just DEVOLUTION and DEVOLVE.

Not in any dictionary used on Countdown as far as I can tell. Are you referring to the Shorter Oxford given as a prize, John?

Yes it is the shorter oed - but it is also in my everyday dictionary which is the concise Oxford dictionary ninth edition and it means "to transfer by devolution"
