Spoilers for Thursday March 1st 2012 (Series 66 Prelim 39)
Much congratulations to Peter Lee for becoming an octochamp yesterday, and as a result we have two new contestants today. Will they become the next Peter Lee, or only the next Christine Buffrey? John Parrott is still here, and hopefully I'll slowly forget about that Kate Hunniford and that Gloria Ciddewombe or whoever they were.
James will be here later with a recap, and at least 33% of every smiley in the list.

Rachel's playing Omelette rules for the numbers!
Mike Brown: "Round 12: T N R S A E I G U
C1: SIGNATURE (18) ["9; not written down"]
C2: SEATING (7)
Score: 108–16 (max 113)
Another niner for Adam and yet another century. Well done, that man."

They had DOTAGE in R13, but didn't mention DOTAGES for some reason.

I didn't realize until Rachel gave a chuckle, and I was wondering what was funny. Took me a while to figure out!Charlie Hastings wrote:Was it round 7 (I think) that started a bit unfortunately? nudge nudge

Probably cos they mentioned DOSAGE.John Garcia wrote:They had DOTAGE in R13, but didn't mention DOTAGES for some reason.
MARDIEST and READMITS in round 2, ENSIFORM and FERMIONS in round 4, SIGMATE in round 8.
2nd Numbers Alt.: (75 x (5 + 5)) - (7 x 3) - 1 = 728
Fancy 3rd Numbers Alt.: (50 x 3) + ((10 - 1) x 9) = 231

Indeed, a very good spot, Clive.Clive Brooker wrote:TELETHON in R1 if I got the letters right.
By the way, I don't know if it's been like it all week, but has anyone noticed the interesting error in the end credits

Looked like a fudge from Sam on that last numbers round, he lost to a decent opponent but nowhere near the calibre of Jack or Peter but not bad none the less

I've had a look to see if I can spot it, and all I can see is that it says "VT Editors" then only lists one name.James Robinson wrote:By the way, I don't know if it's been like it all week, but has anyone noticed the interesting error in the end credits

Please, mods, I didn't think that this was that sort of forum. (Or not the public one, anyway.)James Robinson wrote:A bottle of my juice will be on its way to you.
Impressive debut from the winner. A two-NBG show today. Sounded like there was also a chuckle from one of the contestants at Rachel's 'BJ'.
Oh, maybe it is one of those sorts of forums after all.

Yes, it's said it all week, presumably a hangover from there being two VT editors credited for most of the previous week.Graeme Cole wrote:I've had a look to see if I can spot it, and all I can see is that it says "VT Editors" then only lists one name.James Robinson wrote:By the way, I don't know if it's been like it all week, but has anyone noticed the interesting error in the end credits
