Spoilers for Thursday February 2nd 2012 (Series 66 Prelim 19
Neil Hewitt continues to win, he's a low scoring champ but he is winning and has three to his name thus far. Can he get to the half octochamp mark today? Dr. Phil Hammond is still here, and still has yet to show his plums to anybody yet, whether that's a good thing or not depends on the individual viewer, but regardless he might be saving them for a special occasion.

Handbaker for the conundrum - classic!!!
Was it just me, or was that the easiest conundrum ever? I'm crap at conundrums, but even I got that almost right away.

HANDBRAKE jumped out at me very quickly but I was thrown because I thought it would be more scrambled if it was the answer. Took me a few seconds to realise I was right first time. Nice to see I've got some competition for the worst conundrum guess of the series.John Garcia wrote:Handbaker for the conundrum - classic!!!

PETUNIA in round 6, GOURDES in round 7 and ROOTSIER in round 12.

MY FIRST MAX GAME OF 2012 FOR ME!!!
CERULEAN in round 4 and INTRORSE (which I remembered from earlier in the week) in round 12.
Also quite liked Jocelyn too, she had a nice aura around her. Hope she can win a few more.

Jordan - it's pretty much become an unwritten (and sometimes written) rule of the forum that if Rhys suggests you've done something wrong, don't worry. Don't worry.Jordan F wrote:Bad joke on my part.Rhys Benjamin wrote:Jordan F wrote:Join James for one of his soon to be copyrighted, maybe, Robinson Recaps later.

She was really good in the letters round I thought. Bizarre that her letters seem to be so much better than her numbers (given she is a maths tutor).James Robinson wrote: Also quite liked Jocelyn too, she had a nice aura around her. Hope she can win a few more.

Agreed. She sort of reminded me of Christine Buffrey but loads, loads better.John Garcia wrote:She was really good in the letters round I thought. Is there a necessary connection between maths and the numbers game ?John Garcia wrote: ........ Bizarre that her letters seem to be so much better than her numbers (given she is a maths tutor).

There isn't but I'm often surprised that mathsy people don't seem to know their way around arithmetic very well. You also don't even need to be particularly good at mental arithmetic to do numbers games, unless perhaps you do six small. You just need to know a few basic methods.John Bosley wrote:Is there a necessary connection between maths and the numbers game ?John Garcia wrote: ........
