So, Paul has become the 6th octochamp of the series, booking his place in the finals too.

There's still the chance for one more person who we haven't seen yet to knock David Butcher off the #8 spot. Maybe one of today's new challengers will do that task :?:

Join Liam later to find out. 8-)

NESTERS in round 1, OROTUND in round 4, otherwise I had a bad day. Came up with four invalid words, including JARGONIST in round 7. :x  I would only just have scraped past Alex thanks to the last numbers game.

1st numbers alt: ((50x9)-(75x2)+8)x3=924

Haha. I had rotund... nice one. I've probably seen it at some point but it got past me there.

Had ISOTHERM in round 3 which is a nice alternative (totally didn't see his eight), but otherwise I have nothing to add.

GUIDANCE is nice, Chris. That got past me too (usually I have a cheeky look at -ance).

No R, Thomas. An R would've given VOYEURS which would've been nice.

TROPHIES in round 3, BRIDOON in round 4, CINQUES and EQUINES in round 6.

1st Numbers Alt.: (75 + 2) x (9 + 3) = 924

The easy way for the third numbers is surely

5x100 - 50 - 4 - 3
