Periods [no longer safe for work]

I just got up and switched on C4C and there are NO POSTS SINCE LAST NIGHT.
I don't even remember the last time that happened, and it's really disappointing. You should all be ashamed.

My question is: what's the longest time you've ever been made to wait for something?

I would say just to be a bit trivial, 4 months, and that was to find out when my Pointless shows were going to be on.

Not brilliant, admittedly, but it's a start I guess.

How about the 17 months between CO:LON 2010 and CO:LON 2011?

Don't forget the 7 days as well. :geek:

I could just have said 7 years, 4 months and 26 days, for Town's next promotion, but I didn't want to bore you with that information. :ugeek:

Ooops, just did. :P

Good work guys.

I am currently waiting for East Homes to stop being idiots and help us get a replacement door key. It's been dragging on over a week now, they're utterly useless.

I waited approximately 12 years from taking up darts, before I threw my first 180. Admittedly, I didn't play at all for about 6 of those years, but even so, you'd've thought I'd've cut my losses and taken up a different sport.

4 years, ~1 month- time between playing in my first Scrabble tournament and winning one.

I was misled by the title of this thread. I'm not sure whether I'm disappointed or not.

How long were you misled for? For how long were you unsure as to your status of disappointment?

I had to wait about 24 hours to stop tripping on some particularly strong acid. It seemed longer though 'cause there were times where the clock started to go backwards.

Surely acid is something you slip on, not trip on?

Argh. You just reminded me of one of the longest slash worst times of my life, I think I'd taken rat poison in Serbia. Not good.

I was misled until I read nothing about tampons. It was a long dark period of my life.

I'll be honest, I came into this thread expecting it to be about full stops.

But it turned out to be pointless, yeah?

Shockingly, only 2 posts were made all of yesterday; both in the Politics in General thread.

Yeah, I wrote that speech to kick-start post growth.

Just in case anyone clicks on this thread expecting to read about menstruation issues, may I give another plug (pun intended!) for washable sanitary products? There are a small number of women on the forum, and I expect some of the blokes have wives/girlfriends! :)

menstrual cups: http://www.earthwisegirls.co.uk/menstru ... akbkpuvf17

washable pads: http://www.earthwisegirls.co.uk/reusabl ... akbkpuvf17

currently there's an offer on a starter pack of 3 pads and a carry bag: http://www.earthwisegirls.co.uk/charlie ... akbkpuvf17

Aye, Moon Cups are supposed to be great, once the dexterity is learnt. Not that I get embroiled in girly conversations at all.

That's probably the one thing that's not happening here. Or maybe it is - who am I to speak for other people's proclivities?

As an afterthought, is that what the whole 'two girls - one cup' is about?

Yes, yes it is.

Thanks for joining in, Ian! :)
They do take some getting used to, I'll admit, especially extricating them.
But so much easier than other methods once you've persevered and got the hang of it.
