Chapsticks

Turns out ChapStick is just a brand of lip balm - I had wondered what the difference was. Do you use lip balm? Do you like a particular brand? Do you sometimes use a flavoured one not because you need to, but because it makes you smell fake strawberries all day? Or do you (like CF) hate lip balm because it makes your lips feel weird?

My main balm is Carmex, in a little pot because that makes it more difficult and I like chopsticks. I also have E45 sticks for when I'm out and about.

Carmex is a classic. I quite like the Nivea one with SPF protection in, works well keeping that shit moist in summer. BUt also a big favourite is menthol/minty lip balm. No particular brand but freshens you the fuck up.

I'm all about those mini tins of aloe vera Vaseline - the green ones. Used to be 97p in Boots, not sure what they are now cos I've had the same few tins of it on the go for a few years.

Disgusting literally means "bad-tasting", so...

Again, that's where you're going wrong. Kiss a girl, you'd like it (the taste of their cherry ChapStick).

Is this the wrong moment to vaunt the many uses of Vaseline, not least of which is a flavourless lip balm?

I hate having stuff on my lips, it actually makes them crusty/borderline chapped after a few hours. They manage perfectly well without chemical intervention.

I tried it for a while, but stopped within a week or two as I reckoned that my lips stopped producing their own 'moistness', and I was then dependent on the salve. Given that I make my living from my lips, they need to be in top condition, and I think that they are best at doing that themselves, at least in my case.

You could've quoted the whole post tbf, it reads like it was written by a porn star.

Probably wouldn't be a wise career move as I teach as well. I'll stick to blowing raspberries into a lump of metal otherwise.
