Into Wednesday we go, as well as into autumn (many of you will argue about the date, so don't bother), and also a special landmark birthday too. No, not Matt's 30th, but my sister's 21st.
Anyway, birthdays aside, we have a new champion in Andy Royce, who put on a great show yesterday to dethrone Peter from the champions' chair, but now he has the unenviable burden of becoming a champion on a Tuesday, can he live up to past performance by those before him, and become an octochamp
Join me later for the Robinson Recap where all will be revealed.

Re: Spoilers For Wednesday September 21st 2011
Rather disappointing second show for Andy. I did the last numbers the easier way ((6-2) x 100) - (7 x 8) - 9. I also liked
the teaser-like conundrum.

BALLSED in the ALBEDOS round, and INGRATES in the round which looked like it should have had a 9.
A not-inspiring contest today, but Dave Spikey makes a good effort again - at least he prepares his pieces and they are vaguely amusing (even if they don't have me splitting my sides), and he does his own words in the rounds, it seems.

Yeah, disappointing 2nd showing in the end, and it all looked promising after that brill opening.............
INCENSE in round 2, GRAFTER in round 7, HOMAGES in round 8 and TRANNIES in round 11.
1st Numbers Alt.: (50 x 3) - (7 x 4) = 122

Always nice to see RETAINS+ come up in a game: ANGRIEST and ENTRAINS are alternatives.James Robinson wrote:TRANNIES in round 11.
My first way was ((50 x 25) / 10) - 3, followed by (3 x 4 x 10) + (50/25).James Robinson wrote:1st Numbers Alt.: (50 x 3) - (7 x 4) = 122

Re: Spoilers For Wednesday September 21st 2011
Mine was ((25+3) x 4) + 10 = 122
Quite surprised for the 810 they didn't just do (75 + 6) x 10 but it's easier at home.
