So, into the midweek we arrive, and Andrew is showing plenty of good skills so far with his 3 90's, but can he top a century, as well as become a half-octochamp by the end of the day :?:

Not if Apterite Barry Evans has something to do about it, for it is he who stands in Andrew's way, for what promises to be another cracker of a game today.

Join me for the Robinson Recap later. ;) :) :D

So on Monday we had Drew and James Wilson then James Nguyen yesterday and now Barry Evans today. This must be a record for consecutive apterites?

Interestingly, when I was on my way to film my Countdown heats, I saw Shaun Williamson (who played Barry Evans in EastEnders) at Newport Pagnell services, buying a chocolate bar and a newspaper.

Which newspaper (and chocolate bar)?

I don't recall, I'm sorry. I would probably have included that detail in the anecdote first off if I had, to flesh it out a bit.

It's still a better anecdote than anything Michael Vaughn has said this week.

I don't think he's that boring. If Shobna Gulati didn't have tits then I'd say she was more boring. Why doesn't she just set up a twitter account to bore people with instead. Oh..

Really good contest today - I feel bad for Barry as I used to play him a lot on apterous when I started and he helped me improve a lot. You were very unlucky to come up against a strong player today Barry but congratulations again to Drew, and on your first century :)

I can't believe you wasted this gold. We could have done a Guess Who with it.

An apterite in all four games, well done Drew on what will be probably the hardest run ever.

Unlucky about Barry, I played him at CoLei (in a three-way with Alex Lacey) and he won something like 82-32 (70 for Alex), although I was pretty crap back then. I really hoped he would win, but well done to Drew for reasons aforementioned.

Yeah, that along with Liam v Graeme was definitely the best game of the series so far.

Very unlucky, Barry, but well done, Andrew.

SIPHONED in round 1, REPOSING in round 2, CURTSIES in round 4 and WAGONER in round 6.

Very unlucky Barry. But a great game.

I can't believe that you, a 3 large specialist, came up against another one. Same happened to me! And there really aren't many of us around!
