Andrew Sachs in Dictionary Corner

I see we've got Andrew Sachs as the DC guest in a few days time. I could swear that I've seen him appear sometime in the past, but can find no record of his appearances, either in the Wiki or in Mike Brown's Countdown Page. Can anyone else remember him on Countdown, or am I simply dreaming?

According to The Coundown Page, Mike says:
I'm sure it won't be long before some of the other regulars are back, either, along with the inevitable sprinking of new faces, which amongst others, are rumoured to include Andrew Sachs and Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
For anyone who doesn't know who Andrew Sachs is, he is a German-British actor best known for his role as Manuel, the Spanish waiter in the sitcom Fawlty Towers.

Maybe that's where I saw it. Thanks, Joseph. :)

No probs, happy to help :D.

I actually did the same with Sandy Toksvig, because I could've sworn she had been in DC before, but she hadn't.

I liked him. Refreshingly honest about his own performance at the games, and some great anecdotes delivered in delightful accents - his imitation of Mel Brooks' Yiddish-American voice was spot-on.

I wonder if he'll be invited back now that he's back in the limelight?
