Spoilers For Wednesday May 25th 2011

So, 2011 will be the end of another
Countdown era it seems, with Jeff announcing his resignation yesterday....
Deary me, the show never seems to get a break, does it
Anyway, let's put that aside for now, as we have the finals to look forward to tomorrow.
So, today, the last preliminary of the series, will decide who will be the carryover champion for Series 65.
Will it be the 3-time champion, Liam Herringshaw, who only just scraped over the line yesterday, or today's challenger
Who knows

The best thing about today's show was Matt Bayfield's cameo. Awesome.

In case you were wondering why he was sitting next to Roger Edwards, that was originally my seat and J, the floor manager, needed to move the conundrum solver to the middle for ease of filming and as he thought, presumably, that he had seen enough of me on TV recently he got me to swap seats for the take.

I wasn't wondering because I was filled in what had happened at the finals when I arrived Wednesday afternoon and this cropped up into conversation. But I'm sure some people were wondering why Matt was sat in the centre of those people.

Agreed. Also means he's scored more points on Countdown than Christine Buffrey.

He would have lost under AV as he didn't get 50% of the max.
Edit: Actually, 70 is 50% of 140, isn't it? Some people here are just too left wing.
